An Introduction to Keeping Pigs
Saturday 4th September (10.30am-3pm)
In the Holybourne / Alton area. Other areas on request & if there is enough demand
- Hands on experience as well as information about welfare, DEFRA requirements, feeding, housing, fencing and breeding and of course the ideal time to put your pig into the freezer.
- Get hands on experience with some real pigs including training and other routine stock tasks.
- Specific activities for children if required.
- Tea & coffee provided on all courses. Lunch provided on full day courses.
- Full day course: £60 adult; £30 Under 18s. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
An Introduction to Keeping Poultry
Saturday 9th October (10.30am-3pm)
Holybourne, Alton, Hampshire
- Hands on experience as well as information about welfare, DEFRA requirements, feeding, housing, fencing and breeding.
- Children are encouraged to join in - specific Poultry Keeping activities will be provided.
- Tea, coffee & lunch provided.
- Full day course: £60 adult; £30 Under 18s. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
